Parole Agents earn up to $7,437 per month and receive a peace officer retirement package
(3 percent @ age 50) through the California Public Employee Retirement System (CALPERS).
Minimum Requirements:
US Citizenship (or applied)
21 years old
Good physical condition
No felony convictions
Eligible to own/possess a firearm
Bachelor's Degree*
And
One year of experience of applicable casework supervision
or
Two years of experience supervising inmates in a correctional facility
or
Two years of experience conducting law enforcement investigations*Up to two years of experience may be substituted for education. Please see job description for details.
Parole Agent I Pay Range: $5,285 - $7,437/mo.

College Transcripts Required:
Candidates are required to bring all sealed, unopened official transcripts from accredited colleges to the written test. Candidates who do not bring all unopened official transcripts will be eliminated from the examination. Accreditation shall be from an accrediting association recognized by the Secretary of the United States Department of Education.
