Bob Takeshta- Deputy Director for County Facilities Construction Division

Bob Takeshta was recruited to work for the Board of Corrections in August 1999, after retiring from the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. Bob retired with the rank of lieutenant, after serving 25 years in a variety of assignments including: working in the detention facilities, patrol, recruiting and investigations. As a supervisor and manager, he represented the Sheriff as a public information officer, a watch commander and training manager. He also served as the commander for the Fallbrook Substation, adjunct officer to the Assistant Sheriff of the Detention Bureau, and in his final assignment, he developed the risk management division for the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
Bob is the deputy director for the County Facilities Construction Division which is responsible for administering the request for proposals for AB 900 (Jail Construction Funding) and SB 81 (Youthful Offender Rehabilitative Facilities Construction Funding). He previously served as the deputy director for the Facilities Standards and Operations Division. He earned a bachelor's degree in Education from San Diego State University.
