CALIFORNIA ENERGY COMMISSION PROGRAM
MAY HELP REDUCE FACILITY OPERATIONAL COSTS
Whether you are building a new detention facility, modernizing an existing one, or just wondering how your facility can save on energy bills, the Energy Partnership Program can help. This California Energy Commission program offers specific services to help you become more energy wise, including the identification of cost-effective, energy-efficient systems to meet your needs and the provision of design and implementation assistance.
New Construction
Detention facilities built with energy-efficient designs will cost less to operate, offering continuous savings and leaving more money for other local government services. Many detention facility designs could be improved with little or no additional expense. The Energy Partnership Program can provide technical assistance early in the design phase, before the plans are solidified.
Existing Facilities
The Energy Partnership Program can help you get the most from your modernization and maintenance investment. With an evaluation of your plans or an energy audit of your facility, the program can identify energy-related projects that should be implemented immediately. Program staff can also help secure loans or obtain matching funds required by some State Programs.
