Change in Budget Allowances for Regularly Certified STC Courses

STC Program policies and procedures set forth maximum allowances (caps) for various budget categories of regularly certified courses. Periodically, these caps are revised to ensure that allowable course costs are not only cost effective for local agencies, but also financially feasible for training providers. The last revision to budget caps occurred in 2001. In order to allow course costs to be more consistent with current “industry standards,” and also to compensate for inflation since 2001, new budget caps will be implemented for STC commencing Tuesday, January 16, 2007.

In order for STC staff to make these changes, the on-line RFC system will be unavailable to users from 1700 hours on Friday, January 12th, until 0800 hours on Tuesday, January 16th.

When the revisions are completed, and the system goes back on line, an updated copy of the STC Policies and Procedures Manual for Training Providers will also be available on the STC Web site.
