STANDARDS AND TRAINING FOR CORRECTIONS (STC) PROGRAM
Annual Training Plan Application 2007-2008

The Corrections Standards Authority invites your agency to participate in the STC Program for the fiscal year 2007-2008. You may apply by filing an Annual Training Plan by April 15, 2007. The Annual Training Plan:

• Expresses intent to meet statewide staff selection and training standards through the STC Program;
• Forecasts the estimated number of budgeted positions your agency will employ during the 2007-2008 fiscal year; and
• Projects how many positions will need core versus journey-level training.

Participation in the STC Program provides each agency access to the following products and services:

• Validated written selection exams for hiring qualified applicants;
• Technical support to your agency and personnel department regarding employee selection and risk management issues;
• Statewide Course Certification and training delivery system;
• Instructor development training and course design;
• Agency and regional training needs assessments;
• Briefings to county/city administrative officers, commissions and others in support of your selection and training efforts; and
• Third party review of your agency's progress in meeting statewide selection and training standards.

The on-line "ATP Application" can be completed and approved in a matter of minutes. Your assigned STC Field Representative is available to answer any questions you may have about the Annual Training Plan process.
