STC Advisory # 09-08

Our agency has become aware of a memo and flyer recently circulated by Martinelli and Associates containing inaccurate information. The memo that was distributed describes an "Arrest & Control Tactics Instructor Course" and the associated flyer advertises an Arrest, Control, & Restraint Assistant Instructor Course stating that it is STC certified. Please be advised that this course is not certified by STC and STC funds would not be eligible for use towards the cost of this training.

The provider has been notified of their obligation to correct this misinformation and advise those agencies contacted that this course is not STC certified.
