The Southern Youth Correctional Reception Center and Clinic (SYCRCC) is a reception center and residential institution for youthful male offenders. This facility located in Los Angeles County is comprised of living units with single rooms.
This reception center receives wards committed from southern California counties. While wards are in the reception center process, they receive a variety of assessments to determine their individual needs and to develop appropriate treatment plans.
In addition to the reception center, this facility also has an intensive treatment program, a sex offender treatment program, a public service program, and an intermediate care facility for wards requiring this level of mental health intervention. The SYCRCC also has a residential program for younger wards.
Jack B. Clarke High School provides educational assessments and instruction to wards at SYCRCC. Special education services are available as are courses in basic education and high school work.
