Staff Services

We believe our staff is our greatest resource, and in keeping with this basic philosophy, the department encourages all employees to take advantage of the opportunities and information available to them. In this section, information will be provided on many services provided by the Division of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) and the State of California for employees. DJJ staff is encouraged to use this information for personal and professional growth.

Additionally, resources exist to assist staff with many of life's challenges, as well as ideas on how to live a healthy and secure lifestyle. Some of these services are the Equal Employment Opportunity Office, Health and Safety information, including the State Employee Assistance Program, Health Benefits, including Dental and Vision Plans, the State Retirement System, and a variety of bulletins promoting personal awareness on issues such as workplace violence prevention, family violence prevention, stalking awareness and death notification.
