Culinary Services is responsible for:

  • Preparing and delivering well-balanced nutritious meals for the cadets, staff, and guests at the Richard A. McGee Correctional Training Center (approximately 2,200 meals per day)
  • Preparing, delivery, and storage of food in a safe and sanitary manner
  • Providing varied menus to meet ethnic, cultural, and dietary needs

Curriculum Testing/ Recruitment & Hiring Personnel Liaison

Curriculum Testing is responsible for:

  • Testing of peace officers attending the OTPD's Basic Correctional, Basic Correctional Juvenile, and Parole Agent Academies
  • Integrity of the examination process at the Richard A. McGee Correctional Training Center
  • Monitoring the analysis of exam statistics, testing concerns, and instructional deficiencies
  • Database with cadet data for historical and statistical purpose

Recruitment and Hiring Personnel Liaison is responsible for:

  • Hiring and position allocation process for OTPD
  • Providing guidance and instruction to applicants and the OTPD supervisors regarding recruitment, hiring, classification, and pay issues

The Information Systems is responsible for:

  • Networking and telephone infrastructure for all the OTPD sites in Sacramento (HQ), and Galt (CTC)
  • Providing support for customized user applications
  • Standard software packages, network connectivity and wiring, server and shared access points, telecommunications services, and audio/visual services for classroom instruction

  • All purchasing including service/expense orders, equipment, materials and supplies for the OTPD
  • Providing training tools to procure a wide variety of commodities and services to meet the demands and mission of our agency
  • Warehouse and janitorial services
