Visiting Hours and Directions
Saturdays, Sundays and Designated Holidays* from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Note: North Facility Visiting is on a rotational schedule

Visitor Processing:
Visitors can access facility grounds no earlier than 7:30 AM.
All visitors must park in the main visitor parking lot. Visitors with a valid disabled placard may park in the designated spaces near the Central Entrance Building.
If you have scheduled an appointment, you must check in at the Central Entrance Building to retrieve your visiting pass.
If you do not have an appointment, you should not arrive before 11:00 AM andmust wait behind the designated cone to receive your visiting pass.
Visitors will be processed according to their scheduled time slot.
Helpful Tips
- Schedule your visit, as there is no guarantee that all unscheduled visitors will be processed due to limited space availability.
- Check-in at the Central Entrance Building approximately 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.
- Dress according to the regulations as outlined in the visiting rules. Reference DOM Supplement 19, Inmate Visiting.
- Leave all unauthorized items secured in your vehicle or at Friends Outside.
- Park in the designated area and secure your vehicle completely.
- Visitors may/should schedule appointments on Holiday Visiting Days.
Scheduling Appointments
The appointment time is the time you begin the Visitor Processing. Visitor processing times will vary due to institutional layout and other security issues that may arise during processing.
Scheduled appointments can be made for your entire party as long as it is for the same inmate, same time, and date.
Visitors may schedule appointments in person at the conclusion of their visit at the Central Entrance Building during regular visiting hours.
OR
Visitors may schedule appointments over the telephone, (831) 678-5894 (this is a direct line) during the following times:
Monday NORTH and SOUTH FACILITY ONLY (visitors can begin scheduling for the weekend three (3) weeks ahead. 10 AM – 1 PM
Friday CENTRAL FACILITY ONLY (visitors can begin scheduling for the weekend two (2) weeks ahead. 10AM-1PM
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday All Facilities 6PM-8PM
Telephone appointment requests can only be made by speaking with a staff member. Requests left via voicemail will not be processed.
OR
Visitors may request scheduled appointments via e-mail at ctfvisiting@cdcr.ca.gov once the request is processed staff will e-mail the visitor a confirmation. The request must include the names of the visitors, inmates name, number, and housing, date and time of the request. If the requested time is not available you will be scheduled for the next available time slot.
There is no penalty for missing a scheduled appointment, but we request that as a courtesy to other visitors, please call or e-mail to cancel your scheduled appointment if you can not make the Scheduled time or date. Those visitors that are late for their scheduled appointments will be processed as time permits.

Visitor Processing Appointment Scheduling System (VPASS) Information:
Correctional Training Facility (CTF) is participating in the VPASS pilot program. VPASS is an on-line program used to schedule appointments for visitor processing (contact visits only). New appointment times for CTF become available each Monday at 12:01 a.m. For more information about VPASS go to CDCR Visitation. In the event the VPASS appointments are full PVSP’s non-appointment/walk-up time is 11:00 a.m.
Visiting Assistance:
A CDCR funded Visitor Center is at the institution operated by a community-based organization under contract to CDCR. The Visitor Center provides visiting assistance to family members and friends including a sheltered place to wait before and after visits, transportation to and from local transit terminals, childcare, clothing appropriate for visits on loan, and information about local resources, visiting rules and regulations.General Directions:
From San Francisco:
- Take south-bound Highway 101 for 120 miles
- Exit to Correctional Training Facility (located between the cities of Gonzales and Soledad)
- Turn left at the bridge and enter institution grounds
From Sacramento:
- Take south-bound I-5 for 220 miles
- Exit west-bound on Highway 152
- Exit south-bound Highway 101
- Exit to Correctional Training Facility (located between the cities of Gonzales and Soledad)
- Turn left at the bridge and enter institution grounds
From Los Angeles:
- Take north-bound Highway 101 for 230 miles
- Exit to Correctional Training Facility (located between the cities of Gonzales and Soledad)
- Turn right at the bridge and enter institution grounds
NOTE TO ALL VISITORS: The building behind the flag pole is the Entrance Building that processes CTF visitors.
