DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS PLANS HOLIDAY GIVING TO THOSE IN NEED

Every holiday season, correctional staff and inmates from prisons throughout California donate time and gifts to the needy in their local communities. Following is a summary of some of those events in the Sacramento/San Joaquin/Solano region:

Vacaville Senior Center 411 Kendal Ave. Vacaville
Santa Claus and the Warden from the California Medical Facility in Vacaville will deliver gifts donated by staff and inmates to the senior citizens adopted by the institution for the holidays.

Sacramento Children’s Home
More than $1,000 in donations from inmates at California State Prison, Sacramento will be donated to the home by CSPSac staff along with food and clothing.
