California Department of Corrections Hosts Open House At Family Foundations Program
WHO:
The California Department of Corrections, Family Foundations Program.
WHAT:
Open House at the Santa Fe Springs facility, the first Family Foundations Program to open in California. The Family Foundations Program is the only alternative sentencing program administered by CDC for women who are non-violent offenders with histories of drug abuse. These women must be pregnant or are parenting a child age six or under.
- Speakers include Youth and Adult Correctional Agency Secretary Robert Presley, CDC Director C.A. "Cal" Terhune, City of Santa Fe Springs Mayor George Minnehan and Mayor Pro Tem Betty Putnam.
- Tours of the facility will be held following the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Refreshments will be served.
