Sex Offender Management Resources
The Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is committed to transparency in its operations and policy implementation. To that end:
The management of high- risk sex offenders is a priority to all public safety agencies. Assembling a clear strategy to assist communities in the re-entry of the sex offender parole population is a strong priority for this Administration, the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation as well as the community at large. Housing, placement, and identifying community support services serves as California's leading obstacle in this public policy area.
Local communities and government groups must collaborate on sex offender housing issues. It is essential to ensure that victims have a voice in the placement and monitoring of those sex offenders that are released back into society to minimize recidivism.
