Welcome to the Office of Civil Rights website. This website is intended to serve as a resource for all CDCR employees.

The mission of the Office of Civil Rights (OCR) is to create and maintain a working environment free of discrimination for all California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) employees and applicants.

The OCR serves all employees of the department by ensuring effective processes for the filing, investigation and resolution of complaints, developing policy, providing technical assistance and providing training to all CDCR staff in complying with State and federal statute and regulations, as well as departmental policy related to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO).
