Residential Multi-Service Centers
Program Description
The Residential Multi-Service Centers (RMSC) provides long-term homeless parolees with shelter and sustenance. The six- to twelve-month program includes 90 days of aftercare. Through the use of qualified counselors and casework management treatment phases, the goal is for the parolee to successfully transition to independent living.
The RMSC residents receive the following services as defined in the contract:
- Substance abuse education and relapse prevention
- Twelve-Step (Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous) education
- Literacy training
- Anger management
- Employment development/job placement services
- Individual, group and family education
- Budgeting and money management training
- Cognitive and parenting skills training
- Transition to independent living services
- Breaking Barriers Framework for Recovery
- Referrals to health, clothing, vocational, educational, transportation, DMV/SSN, and recreational services
