The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Division of Juvenile Justice is a partner, along with other state departments, and various city and county entities, in the criminal justice system. Here are a number of resources to review that detail the role other agencies play in the California criminal justice system.

• Adult Operations and Adult Programs - Operates all state prisons, oversees a variety of community correctional facilities, and supervises all parolees during their re-entry into society.

• Corrections Standards Authority - Sets minimum standards for health care, programs, procedures, and construction for local juvenile and adult correctional facilities and inspects those facilities for compliance.

• California Department of Justice - The mission of the Department of Justice is to provide the Attorney General with the support needed to fulfill his constitutional obligations. The Attorney General is the Chief Law Officer of the State of California and is elected and charged by the State constitution with the responsibility to ensure that State laws are uniformly and adequately enforced.

• California Governor's Office of Criminal Justice Planning - OCJP formulates and implements statewide criminal justice policy through comprehensive planning and program funding.

• California State Juvenile Officer's Association - CSJOA is an association composed of practitioners from all areas of the juvenile justice system: Law Enforcement, Probation, Parole, Corrections, Judiciary, Social Services and Schools, as well as members from the community at large.
