Due to a departmental data system conversion project, the Office of Research is forced to suspend the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s (CDCR) function of responding to internet data requests for approximately 18 months.
The California Public Records Act obligates CDCR to promptly provide records to the public upon a request; however, the act does not obligate CDCR to provide or create records that are not already in existence. We apologize for the inconvenience.
If you have an issue or concern, about a situation in a state prison, please contact the Office of the Ombudsman.
If you are trying to locate an inmate at a CDCR facility please use the CDCR Inmate Locator.
