Reports & Research
Resource Library
There is much information available about the kinds of programs the California Department of the Youth Authority (CYA) operates, as well as research and information about our wards and of youthful offenders, in general. We invite you to explore this section, which has been divided into three areas.
The first area contains publications produced by various branches and offices of the DJJ under the name CYA Today. In most cases, these editions focus on single programs within the DJJ, and contain firsthand testimonials from wards, parolees and staff about the impact of our programs.
The second area contains numerous reports, publications and research information produced by our Research Division, which is comprised of two bureaus.
The third area is a list of other agencies, departments and jurisdictions that have information of interest and value to those who are studying the juvenile justice system and areas such as delinquency prevention.
