The Office of Employee Wellness is rolling out a new work-life wellness seminar called “Career Reinvention: The Other Side of Uncertainty” to CDCR locations statewide.
Objectives of this seminar:
- Understand the elements of reinvention necessary to deal with the challenges of uncertainty
- Inventory and identify your transferable skills
- Create an action plan designed to both empower staff and maximize positive aspects of existing and upcoming changes.
- Provide numerous resources for staff including employment resources, resume writing, job networking, and much more!
Career Reinvention Seminars On Video
A new series of videos produced by the Office of Wellness can help employees navigate the career changes and the emotional challenges in the aftermath of Realignment.
The eight part-series, “Reinvention: The Other Side of Uncertainty,” discusses the steps employees can take to evaluate their skills and to find new jobs, as well as to cope with the anger, fear or other emotions that often are a part of uncertainty and change.
