Parolee Reentry Court Program

As a result of the passage of Senate Bill 18 (3x), the California Emergency Management Agency (Cal EMA) has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to establish and/or enhance parolee drug and mental health reentry courts designed to divert eligible parole violators from returning to prison by providing enhanced supervision and services.  The RFP was issued January, 2010 and has a bid proposal deadline set at March 1, 2010.

Funding of this program is provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 State Justice Assistance Grant.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s Division of Adult Parole Operations will be collaborative partner to the courts awarded this opportunity.

Eligible Applicants: Superior Courts of California

Total amount, number of awards: Approximately $9,500,000 is available to fund up to seven (7) reentry courts through the Parolee Reentry Court Program.
