Did Not Receive Hearing Notification

A victim of any crime committed by the prisoner, the next of kin of the victim if the victim has died, and members of the victim’s family has a right to participate in the parole consideration hearing process. The victim may also designate two representatives to appear, personally or by counsel, at the hearing. This includes the prisoner’s commitment crimes, determinate term commitment crimes for which the prisoner has paroled and any other felony crimes or crimes against the person for which the prisoner was convicted. Those individuals who did not receive notice of an upcoming parole consideration hearing may participate in the hearing process by completing a Request for Victims Notification for future notification of hearings. The Office of Victim & Survivor Rights & Services will be able to assist those to register for notification of future hearing notices and learn how to submit written documentation to be read into the record at the current scheduled hearing. The victims and their representatives may also attend the current scheduled hearing to observe, participate and/or give a statement if a reasonable time still exists to make those arrangements with the facility.
