Mentally Disordered Offender Evaluator Resources
The Department of State Hospitals accepts applications for the Board of Parole Hearings (BPH) Mentally Disordered Offender (MDO) Independent Evaluator Panel from May 1st to June 30th of each year.
Psychiatrists and Psychologists interested in becoming independent evaluators for the BPH must submit a MDO Independent Evaluator Application and be approved by the Department of State Hospitals. The BPH will hold mandatory orientation on BPH functions and MDO hearings in September 2019 as follows:

The Board of Parole Hearings invoice form to bill for services is available below.
IF YOU ARE WORKING WITH BPH FOR THE FIRST TIME AS AN INDEPENDENT EVALUATOR, you must also submit a Payee Data Record Form and a Vendor Master Record Information Form so you can be paid. Independent Evaluators already on record with BPH need not submit these forms.
