Task Statements:
1. Provide liaison service between parole staff, parolees and community groups to facilitate participation in community programs utilizing risks/needs assessments, as mandated by the Legislature and Departmental policies/procedures.
2. Provide casework services for a selected case load of clients in a program designed to assist in resolving the employment, social and community readjustment needs of parolees utilizing program referrals, as required.
3. Assist in conducting research projects to verify compliance utilizing Departmental policies/procedures, as required.
4. Provide counseling, support and follow-up services for a selected case load to assist offenders in community reintegration utilizing case planning services (e.g., interviews, assessments, etc.), as required.
5. Conduct interviews on assigned cases to establish individual needs of the offender utilizing motivational interviewing techniques, as required.
6. Review parole conditions on assigned cases to ensure parole conditions are met utilizing Departmental policies/procedures, as required.
7. Participate in presentation of cases at staff meetings to share information utilizing training resources (e.g., databases, policies, etc.), as needed.

9. Assist offenders in reestablishing favorable community relationships to help reduce recidivism utilizing program referrals, on a daily basis.

11. Develop employment leads and housing resources for offenders to assist in community reintegration utilizing telecommunication devices (e.g., phone, computer, etc.), as needed.
12. Coordinate training of other employees to promote proficiency in job duties utilizing training aides (e.g., presentations, manuals, etc.), as needed.
13. Review parole conditions with offender’s employer to ensure compliance with parole conditions utilizing Departmental policies/procedures, as needed.
14. Develop collaborative efforts with other agencies to foster successful community reintegration utilizing shared strategies/goals, as needed.
15. Approves work furlough and 72 hour pass requests for offenders to assist with successful community reintegration utilizing Departmental policies/procedures, as needed.
16. Perform narcotic/alcohol testing to determine compliance with conditions of parole utilizing Departmental policies/procedures, as required.
17. Prepare reports to verify compliance utilizing Departmental policies/procedures, as required.
18. Answer correspondence to provide requested information utilizing verbal/written methods of communication, as needed.
19. Identify offenders to place into appropriate programs utilizing risk/needs assessments, as needed.
20. Maintain records to ensure proper documentation utilizing physical/electronic systems, as required by Departmental policies/procedures.
21. Utilize validated risk assessment tools to determine offender recidivism risk level and identify criminogenic needs to create an appropriate case plan, as required.
22. Maintain databases to manage offender information, utilizing State issued equipment, as required.
23. Complete staff mandated training to maintain job proficiency utilizing In-Service-Training, On-the-Job Training, certification, etc., as required by Departmental policies/procedures.
24. Schedule training for other staff members to ensure compliance with Departmental policies/procedures utilizing written/verbal correspondence, as needed.
25. Conduct presentations to inform staff/offenders of programs, housing, etc., utilizing town hall meeting, committees, pre-release classes, etc., as needed.
26. Document program completion (i.e., milestone) to initiate sentence recalculation utilizing departmental database, as mandated.
27. Monitor incoming correspondence to identify workload assignments utilizing verbal/written methods of communication, on a daily basis.
28. Prepare written communication to respond to offender appeals/requests utilizing Departmental policies/procedures, as required.
29. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to promote a clear understanding of available resources utilizing interpersonal skills, on a daily basis.
30. Adhere to current policies/procedures to ensure program compliance utilizing Departmental rules/regulations, as mandated.
31. Consult with supervisor to resolve more complex issues utilizing verbal/written methods of communication, as needed.

40. Prepare legislative analyses to recommend program implementation plans utilizing program data, research, budget reports, etc., as needed.
41. Analyze offender and departmental reports to verify compliance utilizing Departmental policies/procedures, as required.
42. Prepare reports to apprise stakeholders of pertinent information and ensure compliance with statues and regulations utilizing compiled program data, as required.
