Task Statements: <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

1.\n Assist the project lead in the creation\nof the program using professional practice standards (i.e., American Institute\nof Architects [AIA] Documents), as directed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.\n Assist the project lead in derivation,\nplanning, development of architectural plans and elevations, materials, colors,\nfinishes and specifications (e.g., construction documents [CD]) using AutoCAD,\nRevit and Microsoft Word, as directed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.\n Assist the project lead on the coordination\nbetween architectural features with the various engineering disciplines during\nthe development phase, using verbal communication, documentation, sketches and\ndrafting tools, as directed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.\n Assist project lead on the coordination\nbetween CDs and conditions in the field (e.g., unexpected findings and\ndeteriorated conditions, etc.) during the construction phase, using\ncommunication, drafting tools and responses to Request For Information (RFI),\nas directed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.  Obtain \u201cas-built\u201d drawings and files for\narchitects and engineers to produce background drawings, using electronic and\narchival records, as directed. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

6.  Operate computer-aided drafting (CAD)\nequipment or conventional drafting station to produce designs, working\ndrawings, charts\/forms\/records using personal computers, as directed. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

7.  Revise construction documents from review\ncomments by the clients, supervisors, and the Office of the State Fire Marshal,\nto produce submittal level CD\u2019s using AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Word, as\ndirected. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

8.  Create \u201cas-built\u201d drawings and files for the\nPlan Room Manager to record the final built project using AutoCAD, Revit and\nMicrosoft Word, as directed. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

9.  Gather product information for project lead to\nproduce information for CD\u2019s, using online databases and communication with\nvendors or manufacture representatives, as directed. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

10.  Prepare project specific information for all\ninterested parties to produce written reports and oral presentations using\ngraphic applications (in response to project scope\/deadlines, as directed. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

11.  Perform calculations and provide to project\nlead to verify compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., California\nBuilding Codes [CBC], DCG, Americans with Disability Act [ADA], etc.), as\ndirected. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

12.  Coordinate with field construction and plant\noperations staff during development of contract documents using software,\nmeetings, and review comments in response to project scope\/deadlines, as\ndirected. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

13.  Create design charts and diagrams for use in\nconstruction documents, reports and exhibits using software and\/or hand tools,\nas directed. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

14.  Verify existing construction types\/assemblies\nof the project to setup project parameters and limitations using record\ndocumentation, as directed. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

15.  Attend in-house meetings\/conference calls to\ndefine\/resolve issues and provide updates of project scope and coordination\nusing meeting notes, phone conversations and email, etc., as directed. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

16.  Resolve construction problems generated by the\nfield to maintain project scope and deadlines using software, meetings and\nconstruction administration documents (e.g., request for information,\nconstruction bulletin, change order, etc.), as directed. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

17.  Assist project lead with coordinating with the\nprocurement department to review and approve construction administration\ndocuments (e.g., pre-bid review, post-bid review, submittals, etc.), using\napproved CD\u2019s, as directed. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

18.  Produce the less complex design and\nconstruction documents for project lead to accurately define the building\nconstruction parameters and quality using computer drafting, standard design\ndocuments, and specifications, as required. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

19.  Review Control Section 6.00 of the Budget Act funding\nrequests and branch assignments to provide recommendations and information to\nthe Capital Outlay Unit, institutions and branch Chiefs using codes,\nprofessional knowledge and Design Criteria Guidelines, as requested. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

20.  Communicate in a professional and effective\nmanner with others to provide accurate information and establish and maintain\neffective working relationships in all situations using tact and interpersonal\nskills, on a daily basis. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

21.  Assist project lead in development of project\ntracking (e.g., fees, estimates and schedules for each phase of the project,\netc.) to produce or review designs, construction documents, perform\nconstruction administration and project closeout using departmental standard\nforms and procedures, professional knowledge and experience, etc., as directed.\n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

22.  Conduct code research to ensure project design\nintent conforms to the CBC using departmental standards and procedures and\nconstruction codes to deliver design and\/or review services, as directed. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

23.  Participate in training and professional\ndevelopment to improve project leadership\/management skills, morale, design and\ntechnical knowledge using State funded training, departmental training, etc.,\nas mandated. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

24.  Interact with manufacturing\/industry representatives\nto obtain technical product information using telephone\/computer equipment and\npersonal contact in accordance with departmental policies and procedures, as\ndirected. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

25.  Create project specific details for drawing\nand specifications to complete design project using hand drafting or computer\nsoftware, as directed. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

26.  Analyze building codes, accessibility\nregulations, space and site requirements, etc., to determine their effect on\narchitectural designs using building codes, regulations and online resources,\nas directed.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

27.  Lay out spatial arrangements for commercial\nbuildings to create a design solution using Computer-Assisted Drafting (CAD)\nequipment and software, as directed. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
