materials and\nsupplies utilizing driving ability, laws\/rules\/regulations, codes,\npolicies\/procedures, etc. on a daily basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2. &nbsp;Service passenger vehicles, trucks,\nsmall-wheeled tractors and similar motor equipment to ensure state\nowned-vehicles are maintained for safety and reliability utilizing mechanic\ntools, service maintenance knowledge, manuals, policies\/procedures, etc. on a\ndaily basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3. &nbsp;Wash passenger vehicles, trucks, small-wheeled\ntractors and other automotive equipment for the institutions to ensure the\ncleanliness and increase life expectancy of equipment utilizing tools and\nsupplies, manuals, policies\/procedures, etc. as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4. &nbsp;Maintain the interior and exterior of passenger\nvehicles, trucks, small-wheeled tractors and other automotive equipment for\ninstitutions to ensure the cleanliness and increase life expectancy of\nequipment utilizing tools and supplies, manuals, policies\/procedures, etc. as\nneeded. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5. &nbsp;Make minor adjustments to passenger vehicles,\ntrucks, small-wheeled tractors and other automotive equipment to ensure safe\noperation and compliance with laws\/rules\/regulations, codes, etc. utilizing\nmanufacturer specification guidelines, tools, mechanical ability, professional\nexperience, etc. as needed <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">6. &nbsp;Repair passenger vehicles, trucks,\nsmall-wheeled tractors and other automotive equipment for institutions to\nensure safe operation and compliance with laws\/rules\/regulations, codes, etc.\nutilizing manufacturer specification guidelines, tools, mechanical ability,\netc. as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">7. &nbsp;Fuel state-owned passenger vehicles, trucks,\nsmall-wheeled tractors and other automotive equipment\u2019s tanks with appropriate\ngasoline, diesel, compressed natural gas, and\/or propane, etc. to maintain\nvehicles for use in transporting supplies, hauling materials, and other\nofficial state business as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">8. &nbsp;Transport materials, supplies, passengers\n(e.g., furniture, paper, laundry, inmates working in the shop, etc.) to and\nfrom various locations to ensure items\/passengers reach the destination safely\nand timely by utilizing safe driving practices and adhering to\nlaws\/rules\/regulations, guidelines, policies\/procedures, etc. on a daily basis.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">9. &nbsp;Provide delivery of services (e.g. laundry,\nfood, furniture, etc.) to institutions utilizing vehicles, tools, laws\nrules\/regulations, policies\/procedures, etc. as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">10. &nbsp;Perform manual labor on passenger vehicles,\ntrucks, small-wheeled tractors and other automotive equipment for institutions\nutilizing knowledge, experience, mechanical ability, tools, etc. as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">11.&nbsp; Maintain travel logs (mileage charts, time\nclocks, fuel reports, etc.) to ensure compliance with policies, procedures,\nlaws\/rules\/regulations utilizing standard forms\/ formats, operational\nprocedures, computers, etc. on a daily basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">12. &nbsp;Maintain time\/schedule logs of start, finish\nand time completion and\/or\ncontinuity of work process utilizing communication and organizational skills,\nleadership ability, policies\/procedures, etc. as required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">21. &nbsp;Instruct, lead, or supervise inmates\/youthful\noffenders engaged in tasks associated with automotive equipment utilizing\nsafety training, Departmental Operations Manual (DOM), in order to ensure\ncompliance with institutional guidelines and program needs, on an ongoing\nbasis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">22. &nbsp;Maintain records and daily reports (e.g.\ninmate timesheets, daily work orders and time reports, tool control, vehicle\nlog, etc.) to provide information for institutional use and assure compliance\nwith stipulated laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures, etc.,\nutilizing resources DOM, institutional operational procedures, etc. on a daily\nbasis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">23. &nbsp;Maintain order and supervise the conduct of\ninmates\/youthful offenders committed to the California Department of\nCorrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) to produce a safe and productive shop\nutilizing Departmental Operations Manual (DOM) and departmental policies and\nprocedures on a daily basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">24. &nbsp;Prevent the escape and injury of persons\ncommitted to CDCR to themselves or others or to property in accordance with\nDOM, departmental policies and procedures on a daily basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">25. &nbsp;Maintain security of working areas and work\nmaterials ensuring keys are in designated and secure locations for the safety\nand security of the institution utilizing computer or print out of key rosters,\neffective communication skills in accordance with DOM, departmental\npolicies\/procedures on a daily basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">26. &nbsp;Inspect premises to ensure the work\nenvironment is free from contraband (e.g., weapons, drugs, and tobacco, etc.,)\nutilizing mirrors, protective gloves, training resources, Departmental safety\nstandards, DOM, etc., as required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">27. &nbsp;Instruct others in understanding and following\noral\/written instructions [Code of Safe Practices, Injury and Illness\nPrevention Program (IIPP), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Repair Manuals, etc.)\nsufficient to carry out repair orders and shop procedures by demonstrating the\nproper repair methods and answer questions <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>28. &nbsp;Communicate in a\nprofessional manner with the co-workers, supervisors\/managers, inmates or\nyouthful offenders to deal with confidential issues utilizing tact,\ninterpersonal skills, etc. and establish and maintain effective working\nrelationships with others as needed. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>29. &nbsp;Addresses stressful\nsituations (e.g. inmates, work relationships, heavy workloads, meeting\ndeadlines, etc.) in the workplace in a professional and tactful manner, with a\ngoal of avoiding further escalation by utilizing effective interpersonal\nskills, training, etc. in accordance with DOM on a daily basis. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>30. &nbsp;Coordinate and work with\nother trades to ensure automotive equipment is safe and in proper operating\ncondition for material and supply transport utilizing manufacturer\nspecifications, guidelines, policies and procedures under the direction of the\nDGS\/OFA, DOM, SAM, state vehicle code, etc. as require. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>31. &nbsp;Respond to emergency call\nbacks (e.g., power outage, cell door\/gate malfunctions, electrical fires, etc.)\nin order to ensure the safety and security
