Be alert for escape plans to prevent escapes by\npersons committed to the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation\/Division\nof Juvenile Justice and reports to security personnel by using electronic\ndevices (such as intercom systems) as required by Departmental policy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">16. &nbsp;Prevents injury by persons committed to the\nDepartment of Corrections and Rehabilitation\/Division of Juvenile Justice as\nrequired by State law. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">17. &nbsp;Maintains security of working areas by\nperforming daily inventory control and visual spot checks as required by\nDepartmental guidelines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">18. &nbsp;Maintains security of work materials by\nperforming daily inventory control and visual checks as required by\nDepartmental guidelines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">19. &nbsp;Inspects premises contraband such as weapons\nor illegal drugs using Departmental resources including correctional officers\nas required by Departmental policy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">20. &nbsp;Searches youthful offenders and patients for\ncontraband such as weapons or illegal drugs using Departmental resources\nincluding correctional officers as required by Departmental policy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>21. &nbsp;Repairs barbershop barbering\nequipment by using various sizes of screwdrivers to replace broken and\/or dull\nblades on clippers as needed. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>22. &nbsp;Disposes of broken and\/or\ndull blades in safe receptacles in order to maintain the safety of the\nInstitution as per Departmental policy. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>23. &nbsp;Grooms facial hair of\nyouthful offenders and patients to adhere to grooming standards using outliners\nand trimmers as requested. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>24. &nbsp;Documents the names of youth\nreceiving barbershop services in the barbershop to accurately record the time\nand date services were rendered in accordance with Departmental policy. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>25. &nbsp;Communicates with security\npersonnel regarding imminent threats of harm to employees and youthful\noffenders by using the electronic devices (such as email and telephone) as\nrequired by Departmental policy. &nbsp;Develops and implements a\nschedule for sessions in the barbershop to render services to youthful\noffenders using electronic applications and email as per Departmental policy. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>31. &nbsp;Utilizes standard barbering\nmethods when rendering services to youthful offenders in order to adhere to\nhealth and safety
