required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.&nbsp; Participate in IDTT in order to clarify\ntreatment plans, discharge planning, LOC determination, community referrals,\netc. utilizing audit tools, on-going peer review and QIT results, MHCAS, staff\nexpertise, current DSM, knowledge and experience, effective communication\nskills, ethical practice, established standards of professional care,\nregulations, departmental policies and procedures, etc. as required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.&nbsp; Provide training to medical and other\ndepartment staff (e.g., custody, correctional counselors, parole agents, etc.)\nregarding the mental health services role in patient treatment in order to\nincrease effectiveness of treatment delivery, patient\/community\/institutional\nsafety and security, etc. utilizing knowledge and experience, effective\ncommunication skills, team work, cooperation among co-workers (e.g., vocational\nand educational staff, nursing, clinical peers, etc.) and other units,\ndepartmental policies and procedures, etc. as required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6.&nbsp; Provides individual and group therapy for\ninmate\/parolee-patients in accordance with MHSDS\/MHCAS guidelines in order to achieve\nidentified therapeutic goals (e.g., stress\/anger\/symptom management, sex\noffender treatment, conflict resolution, etc.) utilizing audit tools, on-going\npeer review and QIT results, knowledge and experience, effective communication\nskills, ethical practice, team work, staff expertise, established standards of\nprofessional care, laws, rules, regulations, departmental policies and\nprocedures, etc. as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7.&nbsp; Assists program staff (e.g., custody,\ncorrectional counselors, parole agents, MHCAS providers, Classification and\nParole Representative [C&amp;PR], etc.) in evaluating patients\u2019 readiness for\nrelease in order to reduce recidivism and\/or increase functioning (e.g.,\nindependent living skills, employment, education, etc.) utilizing knowledge and\nexperience, effective communication skills, team work, cooperation among\nco-workers (e.g., vocational and educational staff, nursing, clinical peers,\netc.) and other units, departmental policies and procedures, etc. as required..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8.&nbsp; Provide after-care planning rehabilitation\nand referral services in coordination with MHCAS providers for inmate patients\nwho are paroling from a Correctional Treatment Center (CTC) or discharging\ndirectly from a MHCB in order to provide a continuum of care, comply with laws,\nrules, regulations, departmental policies and procedures, etc. utilizing audit\ntools, on-going peer review and QIT results, knowledge and experience,\neffective communication skills, team work, cooperation among co-workers and\nother units, departmental policies and procedures, etc., as required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9.&nbsp; Informs relatives, caretakers, employers, and\nothers when clinically indicated on matters related to the inmate\/parolee\npatients\u2019 welfare in order to promote a receptive environment, ensure a\ncontinuum of care, comply with laws, rules, regulations, departmental policies\nand procedures, etc. utilizing knowledge and experience, effective\ncommunication skills, ethical practice, team work, staff expertise, established\nstandards of professional care, HIPPA, laws, rules, regulations, departmental\npolicies and procedures, etc. as required..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10.&nbsp; Assess the inmate\/parolee-patients\u2019 LOC in\npreparation for IDTT in accordance with MHSDS\/MHCAS guidelines in order to\nensure patient\/community\/institutional safety utilizing knowledge and\nexperience, crisis intervention techniques, suicide risk evaluation, ethical\npractice, staff expertise, established standards of professional care, laws,\nrules, regulations, departmental guidelines, etc. when clinically indicated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>11.&nbsp; Acts in the absence of direct line supervisor\nto maintain efficient program operation, provide clinical consultation, etc.\nutilizing knowledge and experience, effective communication skills, staff\nexpertise, collaboration with
