1.\n Installs cylinders and bit key locks to\nensure security systems are in compliance utilizing the Department Operations\nManual (DOM) in order to maintain the safety and security of the institution,\nunder the direction of the Custody Captain\/Plant Manager. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.\n Repairs cylinders and bit key locks to\nensure security systems are in compliance utilizing the DOM in order to\nmaintain the safety and security of the institution, under the direction of the\nCustody Captain\/Plant Manager. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.\n Maintains cylinder and bit key locks to\nensure security systems are in compliance utilizing the DOM in order to\nmaintain the safety and security of the institution, under the direction of the\nCustody Captain\/Plant Manager. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.\n Cuts keys for cylinder and bit locks,\ncabinet locks, and padlocks to ensure security systems are in compliance\nutilizing the DOM in order to maintain the safety and security of the\ninstitution, under the direction of the Custody Captain\/Plant Manager. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.\n Manufactures keys for cylinder and bit\nlocks, cabinet locks, and padlocks to ensure security systems are in compliance\nutilizing the DOM in order to maintain the safety and security of the\ninstitution, under the direction of the Custody Captain\/Plant Manager. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

6.\n Changes lock combinations to provide and\nensure security systems are in compliance utilizing the DOM in order to\nmaintain the safety and security of the institution, under the direction of the\nCustody Captain\/Plant Manager. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

7.\n Repairs tumblers, springs, and other\nparts to ensure locks are restored to manufacturer\u2019s specifications utilizing\nthe DOM in order to maintain the safety and security of the institution, under\nthe direction of the Custody Captain\/Plant Manager. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

8.\n Replaces tumblers, springs, and other\nparts to ensure locks are restored to manufacturer\u2019s specifications utilizing\nthe DOM in order to maintain the safety and security of the institution, under\nthe direction of the Custody Captain\/Plant Manager. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

9.\n Keeps records on location of keys for\neach lock to provide information for institutional use, and assure compliance\nwith stipulated laws, rules and regulations, policies and procedures, as\nrequired or directed by the Custody Captain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

10.\n Maintains security\/accountability of all\nduplicate keys to provide information for institutional use and assure\ncompliance with stipulated laws, rules and regulations, policies and\nprocedures, as required by the DOM. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

11.\n Performs related installation of door\nclosers, door checks, door knobs, casement operators, and door strikes to\nensure good working order utilizing the DOM in order to maintain the safety and\nsecurity of the institution, under the direction of the Custody Captain or\nPlant Manager. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

12.\n Performs repairs of door closers, door\nchecks, door knobs, casement operators and door strikes to ensure good working\norder utilizing the DOM in order to maintain the safety and security of the\ninstitution under the direction of the Custody Captain or Plant Manager. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

13.\n Performs preventive maintenance of keys\nand locking systems for buildings to ensure good working order and assure\ncompliance with stipulated laws, rules and regulations, policies and\nprocedures, as required per the DOM under the direction of the Custody Captain\nor Plant Manager. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

14.\n Performs emergency keying to ensure\nsafety and security of the institution and assure compliance with stipulated\nlaws, rules and regulations, policies and procedures, as required by the DOM\nand the Custody Captain or Plant Manager. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

15.\n Ensures key rings have appropriate tag\ncolor identifying ring security level in compliance with the DOM in order to\nmaintain the safety and security of the institution, as requested by division\nheads. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

16.\n Performs emergency opening services and\nrepairs on locks to ensure safety and security of the institution and assure\ncompliance with stipulated laws, rules and regulations, policies and\nprocedures, as required by the DOM and the Custody Captain or Plant Manager. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

17.\n Maintains security and accountability of\nhand and power tools by the use of daily inventory per the DOM in order to\nmaintain the safety and security of the institution, as requested by division\nheads. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

18.\n Utilizes hand and power tools for\nperformance of daily duties in accordance with repair and\/or maintenance of\nlocking devices, keys, and key rings per the DOM in order to maintain the\nsafety and security of the institution, as requested by division heads. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

19.\n Estimates costs of proposed locking\ndevice installation or repairs to maintain the infrastructure of the\ninstitution utilizing the DOM in order to maintain the safety and security of\nthe institution, as requested by division heads. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

20.\n Maintains inventory of locks, keys, and\nhardware to ensure adequate supply on hand to perform day-to-day maintenance\nand repair per the DOM, as required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

21.\n Makes recommendations for hardware types\nto ensure compatibility with current hardware (i.e. lock types and functions)\nspecific to each institution per the DOM in order to maintain the safety and\nsecurity of the institution, as directed by the Custody Captain or Plant\nManager. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

22.\n Maintains order of persons committed to\nthe California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) to ensure\nsafety and security of the institution, and assure compliance with stipulated\nlaws, rules and regulations, policies and procedures, as required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

23.\n Supervises conduct of persons committed\nto the CDCR to ensure safety and security of the institution, and assure compliance\nwith stipulated laws, rules and regulations, policies and procedures, as\nrequired. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
