1.\n Acts as a consultant to various agencies\n(public and private), departmental staff, the public, etc., on health care\nissues to provide expertise, direction\/guidance, information, and technical\nassistance, and ensure quality health care to persons committed to the\nCalifornia Department of Corrections (CDC), utilizing professional knowledge,\nFederal and State laws (e.g., Penal Code (PC), Title 15, Title 17, Title 22,\nregulations, etc.), Departmental Operations Manual (DOM), Administrative Bulletins\n(AB), policies, procedures, communication skills, internet, etc. under direct\nsupervision. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.\n Develops the tools, aids, methodology,\netc. necessary to conduct studies utilizing professional knowledge, Federal and\nState laws (e.g., PC, Title 15, Title 17, Title 22, regulations, etc., DOM,\nABs, policies, procedures, internet, computer software, etc. under direct\nsupervision. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.\n Implements studies to gather\/obtain\ninformation, utilizing professional knowledge, communication skills, policies,\nprocedures, computer software, etc. under direct supervision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.\n Evaluates study results to provide\ninformation to management and make recommendations for program modifications\nand implement new programs utilizing professional knowledge, Federal and State\nlaws (e.g., PC, Title 15, Title 17, Title 22, regulations, etc.) DOM, ABs,\npolicies, procedures, internet, computer software, under direct supervision. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.\n Participates in the development of\nprograms, nursing components of related programs, standards, policies,\nprocedures, etc. for Health Care Services Division (HCSD) to provide knowledge,\nexpertise, and to ensure compliance and consistency with court mandates, laws,\nrules, regulations, utilizing professional knowledge, Federal and State laws\n(e.g., PC, Title 15, Title 17, Title 22, regulations) DOM, ABs, policies,\nprocedures, internet, etc. under direct supervision. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
