classification per the\nState Controller\u2019s Office Filled\/Vacant Position Report dated January 1, 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>EDITED TASK LISTING<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>NOTE:\nEach position within this classification may perform some or all of these\ntasks.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>Task Statements:<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>1.\n&nbsp;Establish property accounts and records\nof property location for the facilities to promote uniformity\/standardization\nin accordance with State Administrative Manual (SAM), Departmental Operations\nManual (DOM), Youth Authority Manual (YAM), etc. utilizing Business Information\nSystem (BIS) and forms as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.\n&nbsp;Maintain the property accounts and\nrecords of property location for the facilities to promote\nuniformity\/standardization in accordance with SAM, DOM, YAM, etc. utilizing BIS\nand forms as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3.\n&nbsp;Perform accountability for receipt of\nstate assets to identify and track within the facility using BIS in accordance\nwith DOM and SAM as required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.\nPerform recording of the receipts of new property to ensure proper marking of\nassets utilizing BIS in accordance to SAM and DOM as required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.\n&nbsp;Perform marking\/tagging to identify and\nestablish accountability of state assets within the facility utilizing BIS,\nmanual tracking system, etc. in accordance with SAM as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6.\n&nbsp;Release property to authorized units and\nindividuals utilizing various forms (e.g., CDC 1719, Std. 115, etc.) to ensure\naccountability as required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7.\n&nbsp;Inform employees receiving property of\ntheir responsibility and liability for state properties utilizing DOM and DOM\nsupplement to ensure safe and proper handling as directed per management. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8.\n&nbsp;Inform employees of guidelines\nconcerning the care and movement of equipment\/property to maintain\naccountability utilizing various means of communication (e.g., email, memos,\nverbal discussions, etc.) in accordance with Departmental guidelines, SAM, DOM,\nand YAM, etc. as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9.\n&nbsp;Inform employees receiving property of\ntheir responsibility and liability for state properties utilizing DOM and DOM\nsupplement to ensure safe and proper movement as directed per management. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10.\n&nbsp;Receive and\/or recommend requests for\ninternal transfers of property assets utilizing various forms (e.g., CDC 1719,\nStd. 115, etc.) to ensure accurate property record keeping in accordance with\nDOM, YAM, and Departmental guidelines as required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>11.\n&nbsp;Issue and\/or handle the\nequipment\/property to authorized locations utilizing various moving gear (e.g.,\ndolly, carts, pallet jack, etc.) in accordance with Departmental guidelines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>12.\n&nbsp;Schedule and\/or coordinate a triennial\nphysical inventory at the facility to maintain accountability and reconcile\nasset records utilizing the various reports (e.g., inventory forms, database\nlistings, etc.) in accordance with SAM, DOM, and YAM as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>13.\n&nbsp;Investigate discrepancies in inventories\nand reconcile property records to ensure accuracy utilizing BIS, DOM, and\nDepartmental guidelines as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>14.\n&nbsp;Prepare annual reports of property\ninventory to capture the cost of property by classification as required for the\nvarious entities (e.g., warden, accounting, etc.) to provide information\nutilizing BIS in accordance with Departmental guidelines as required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>15.\n&nbsp;Recommend repairs of equipment\/property\nin order to maximize the use of equipment\/property utilizing various methods\n(e.g., memos, service and expense order, etc.) in accordance with SAM, DOM, and\nYAM as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>16.\n&nbsp;Determine proper disposition of\nequipment\/property in order to survey equipment\/property utilizing form Std.\n152 in accordance with SAM, DOM, and YAM as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>17.\n&nbsp;Prepare data to justify replacement or\nadditional equipment in the equipment budget utilizing BIS to ensure\ninstitution\u2019s operational needs are met in accordance to Departmental\nguidelines as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>18.\n&nbsp;Develop improvements in property\naccounting procedures utilizing various resources (e.g., BIS reports, Asset\nManagement Unit (AMU) directives, etc.) to ensure accurate record keeping in\naccordance with departmental guidelines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>19.\n&nbsp;Prepare vehicle registration documents\nto establish accurate ownership records for the facility utilizing various\nDepartment of Motor Vehicle (DMV) forms (e.g., registration, Notice of transfer\nand release of liability, etc.) to ensure proper registrations are in\ncompliance with Department of General Services Office of Fleet Administration\nas required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>20.\n&nbsp;Maintain vehicle registration documents\nto establish accurate ownership records for the facility utilizing various DMV\nforms (e.g., registration, pink slip, etc.) to ensure proper registrations are\nin compliance with Department of General Services Office of Fleet\nAdministration as required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>21.\n&nbsp;Establish items as stock on hand (e.g.,\nfurniture, office equipment, etc.) for issuance upon request utilizing the\nvarious request forms (e.g., Std. 115, memos, etc.) to maintain smooth\noperation in accordance with SAM and Departmental guidelines as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>22.\n&nbsp;Maintain items as stock on hand (e.g.,\nfurniture, office equipment, etc.) to ensure operational needs are met\nutilizing state resources (e.g., AMU surplus warehouse, Prison Industry\nAuthority, etc.) in accordance with SAM and Departmental guidelines as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>23.\n&nbsp;Process requests for equipment\/property\nfrom various staff utilizing stock on hand (e.g., fax machine, copier, etc.) to\nensure appropriate items are maintained for an effective operation in\naccordance with Departmental guidelines as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>24.\n&nbsp;Record the transfer (intra and inter) of\nequipment\/property to various locations utilizing form Std. 158 to maintain\naccountability in accordance with SAM, DOM, YAM, and Departmental guidelines as\nrequired. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>25.\n&nbsp;Coordinate office moves within the\nfacility utilizing resources (e.g., material handling equipment, vehicles,\netc.) to ensure a smooth transition and minimize the loss of staff time as\nneeded. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>26.\n&nbsp;Inspect and search inmates and premises\nfor contraband such as weapons or illegal drugs to promote a safe and secure\nwork environment in accordance with the California Code of Regulations (CCR)\nTitle 115. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>27.\n&nbsp;Train inmates in the method of tagging,\nstoring, and housekeeping of equipment\/property to ensure compliance with the\nInjury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) utilizing hands on instruction and\nduty statements in accordance with the Inmate Work Training Incentive Program\n(IWTIP) as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>28.\n&nbsp;Monitor the work of inmates in the\nmethod of tagging, storing, and housekeeping of equipment\/property to ensure\ncompliance with IIPP utilizing hands on instruction and duty statements in\naccordance with the IWTIP as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>29.\n&nbsp;Direct the work of inmates in the method\nof tagging, storing, and housekeeping of
