Analyst, Office\nof Workforce Planning and Selection<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Number of Incumbents: <\/strong>There is incumbent in this classification per\nDepartment of Corrections Filled\/Vacant Position Report dated October 2004.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>EDITED TASK LISTING<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>NOTE:\nEach position within this classification may perform some or all of these\ntasks.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>Task Statements:<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>1.\n&nbsp;Accounting for receipt of\nequipment\/property and marking\/tagging to identify and establish an inventory\n(accountability) of state equipment\/property within the facility utilizing an\nautomated database system, forms, etc., in accordance with established\nguidelines SAM, DOM, etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.\n&nbsp;Assists in the development within the\nfacility of improved property procedures and forms to be used to promote\nuniformity\/standardization utilizing an automated database system, best\npractices, etc., and implementation of departmental directives in accordance\nwith DOM or established guidelines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3.\n&nbsp;Establishes and maintains or may\nsupervise the maintenance of property accounts and records of location of property\nfor the facilities in accordance with established state guidelines (State\nAdministrative Manual (SAM), Departmental Operation Manual (DOM), etc.)\nutilizing an automated database system, forms, etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.\n&nbsp;In order to maximize utilization of\nequipment\/property recommends repair, refurbishing, and\/or proper disposition\nof equipment\/property utilizing available resources, forms, etc., in accordance\nwith DOM, SAM, and established guidelines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.\n&nbsp;Informs appropriate personnel of\nguidelines concerning the care and movement of equipment\/property to maintain\naccountability utilizing various means of communication (e.g., email, memos,\nverbal discussions, etc.) in accordance with established guidelines, SAM, DOM,\netc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6.\n&nbsp;Issues equipment\/property to the authorized\nlocations to complete the receiving process utilizing various forms and\nmaterial handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack, etc.) in accordance\nwith established guidelines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7.\n&nbsp;May maintain vehicle registration\ndocuments (exempt and non-exempt), vehicle home storage requests\/permits and\nprepares Department of Motor Vehicle transaction forms to process and secure\nvehicle registration to establish accurate ownership records for the facility\nutilizing an automated database system, various forms, etc., in accordance with\nthe California Vehicle Code, Department of General Services Office of Fleet\nAdministration, SAM and DOM. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8.\n&nbsp;Performs, schedules and\/or coordinates a\ntriennial physical inventory at the facility to maintain accountability and\nreconcile equipment\/property records to an automated database system utilizing\ninventory forms, database listings, etc., in accordance with DOM and SAM. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9.\n&nbsp;Prepares mandated reports, as required\nor upon request, for various entities (e.g., warden, accounting, Inmate\nServices, etc.) to provide information as it relates to equipment\/property\ninventory utilizing an automated database system and various forms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10.\n&nbsp;Receives requests for equipment\/property\nfrom various staff and completes requests by utilizing stock on hand and\/or\nmakes recommendation for acquisition of requested items to appropriate\npersonnel in accordance with established guidelines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>11.\n&nbsp;Reconciles discrepancies resulting from\nphysical inventory of the facility to maintain an accurate equipment\/property\nrecord utilizing various forms, database system listings, etc., in accordance\nwith DOM, SAM, and established guidelines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>12.\n&nbsp;Records the transfer (intra and inter)\nof equipment\/property to various locations to maintain accountability by\nutilizing an automated database system and forms in accordance with DOM, SAM,\nand established guidelines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>13.\n&nbsp;Coordinates office moves within the\nfacility utilizing all available resources, material handling equipment,\nvehicles, etc., to effect a smooth transition and minimize the loss of staff\ntime, as directed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>14.\n&nbsp;Establishes and\/or make recommendations\nto appropriate personnel for items to be maintained as stock on hand (e.g.,\nfurniture, office equipment, etc.) for issuance upon request utilizing various\nrequest forms, memos, etc., in accordance with SAM and established guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>EDITED KSAPC LISTING<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>NOTE: Each position within this classification may perform\nsome or all of these KSAPCs.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>Knowledge of:<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>K1.\n&nbsp;General knowledge of basic material\nhandling equipment (e.g., vehicles, forklift, pallet jack, etc.) to effectively\nand safely move and store equipment\/property. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>K2.\n&nbsp;General knowledge of inventory control\nmethodologies (e.g., record keeping, physical counts, reconciliation, issuing,\nrepairs, property disposition, etc.) to effectively account for state owned\nequipment\/property. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>K3.\n&nbsp;General knowledge of office methods and\nprocedures to effectively establish and\/or maintain records. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>K4.\n&nbsp;General knowledge of operating personal\ncomputers to effectively control an automated record keeping system, produce\nreports and correspondence, etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>K5.\n&nbsp;General knowledge of the State\nAdministrative Manual (SAM) and Departmental Operations Manual (DOM) guidelines\nto effectively control equipment\/property inventory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>K6.\n&nbsp;General knowledge of basic mathematics\nto accurately perform calculations required to establish or maintain\nequipment\/property records. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>KSAPCs\nhighlighted in bold text are not currently on the SPB to prevent potential situations\/problems that could impact the\nsafety and security of the facility, the maintenance\/accuracy of inventory,\netc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S2.\n&nbsp;Communicate effectively (written and\norally) to facilitate the scheduling of inventories, work with staff, vendors,\netc., in order to perform the functions of a Property Controller. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S3.\n&nbsp;Determine condition and recommend proper\ndisposition of equipment\/property in order to maximize its utilization. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S4.\n&nbsp;Make basic mathematical calculations to\nestablish or maintain accurate equipment\/property records. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S5.\n&nbsp;Operate office equipment (e.g.,\ntypewriters, copiers, personal computers, calculators, etc.) to perform the\nfunctions of a Property Controller. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S6.\n&nbsp;Reconcile physical inventories and\/or\nequipment\/property acquisitions with control accounts (e.g., automated database\nsystem, accounting reports, etc.) to identify and correct potential\ndiscrepancies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S7.\n&nbsp;Supervise and\/or direct the work of\nothers to complete assigned tasks (e.g., coordination of physical\ninventories\/office
