perform some or all of these\ntasks.<\/em><\/strong><em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>Task Statements:<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>1.\n&nbsp;Supervise staff in the performance of\nsearching inmates person or activity rooms for drugs, contraband, and weapons\nto ensure the safety of other inmate\/patients and staff, using custody staff,\npersonal knowledge, training, Universal Precautions, policy, procedures,\nregulatory requirements, etc. as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.\n&nbsp;Supervise staff monitoring facility\nareas (i.e. Psychiatric Services Unit, Enhanced Out Patient, Treatment Center,\nMental Health Building, Administrative Segregation Unit, etc.) to identify\nsecurity breaches and contraband (i.e. weapons, unlocked gates, keys are\nsecure, tools and equipment are accounted for, individual holding cells are\nlocked, food ports are locked, etc.) that could lead to the escape of a\npatient\/inmate to ensure the safety of other inmates and staff, using\ncustody\/health care staff, personal knowledge, training, Universal Precautions,\nDOM, regulatory requirements, etc. on a daily basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3.\n&nbsp;Supervise staff observing patient\/inmate\nbehavior that may lead to injury, damage property, or signal impending escape\nattempts to ensure the safety of self, staff and inmate\/patients using personal\nknowledge, training, custody staff, policy, procedures, regulatory\nrequirements, etc. on a daily basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.\n&nbsp;Supervise staff working with other\ndisciplines (Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Registered Nurses, Medical Technical\nAssistants, Social Workers, Custody staff, etc.) as part of the treatment team\nto provide an individualized treatment program for the patient\/inmate using\nprofessional knowledge, training, policies, procedures, Title 22, regulatory\nrequirements, etc. as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.\n&nbsp;Supervise staff performing nursing\nprocedures such as administering medications, treatments, and medical\nprocedures, including oral medications, hypodermic injections\/vital signs,\ntranscribing of physicians orders (i.e. written, verbal, telephone order, etc.)\nand document as appropriate, to ensure continuity of delivery and quality of\nhealth care treatment to inmate\/patients, using knowledge, training, Universal\nPrecautions, departmental regulations, policy, procedures, regulatory\nrequirements, etc. as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6.\n&nbsp;Supervise staff administering first aid\n(i.e. Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation, wound management, etc.) as needed to\ninmates\/patients or staff, to preserve life and reduce trauma, using knowledge,\ntraining, Universal Precautions, departmental regulations, policy, procedures,\nregulatory requirements, etc. as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7.\n&nbsp;Supervise staff in maintaining a clean\nand safe, workplace to ensure a therapeutic environment for patients\/inmates\nand staff in compliance of policy and procedures, using training, personal knowledge,\ndepartmental regulations, Universal Precautions, regulatory requirements, etc.\nas needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8.\n&nbsp;Supervise staffs interaction with\ninmate\/patients to ensure professional mental health principles are applied to\ncreate therapeutic relationship boundaries in compliance with policies and\nprocedures using knowledge, training, custody staff, departmental regulations,\npolicy, procedures, regulatory requirements, etc. as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9.\n&nbsp;Supervise staff participating in\non\/off-the-unit groups and individual program activities for patients\/inmates\nto enhance continuity of care and ensure compliance with Individual Treatment\nTeam plans, using personal knowledge, training, departmental regulations,\npolicy, procedures, regulatory requirements, etc. as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10.&nbsp; Supervise staffs performances of daily duties\nto ensure that safe work practices are followed (i.e. gates are locked, keys\nare secure, all tools and equipment are accounted for, wear safety equipment\n(e.g. personal alarm, safety vest, whistle, etc.) and to prevent injuries to\nstaff and inmates\/patients using knowledge, training, departmental regulations,\nUniversal Precautions, custody staff, policy, procedures, regulatory\nrequirements, etc. on a daily basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>11.\n&nbsp;Supervise staff in the ordering of\nsupplies from institutional\/contractual vendors to ensure supplies are ordered\nas needed to enable staff to perform job duties and maintain a safe working\nenvironment per policy and procedures, using knowledge, custody staff,\ndepartmental regulations, policy, procedures, regulatory requirements, purchase\nrequisitions, etc. as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>12.\n&nbsp;Supervise staffs documentation of\nrecords (i.e. patient charts, nursing logs, etc.) to ensure the accuracy of\ndocumentation meets regulatory requirements, using knowledge, training, policy,\nprocedures, departmental regulations, regulatory requirements, etc. as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>13.\n&nbsp;<strong>Perform\nstaff Probationary Evaluation\/Individual Development Plan reports based on\ndegree of competency in performing specific job functions to ensure employee\nmeets or exceeds expected standards, to foster employee growth, and identify\nareas of deficiency using performance guidelines, knowledge, training, policy,\nprocedures, departmental regulations, duty statements, job descriptions, etc.\nas needed.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>14.\n&nbsp;<strong>Conduct\nstaff meetings to inform staff of changes\/updates, address needs and problems\nand maintain open communication, etc. using training, knowledge,
