assessment,\nutilizing Integrated Behavior Treatment Model (IBTM); Departmental policies,\nprocedures and protocols; legislative mandates, etc., as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.\n&nbsp;Supervise casework staff and Senior\nYouth Correctional Counselors (SYCC) in a Juvenile Justice facility to develop\na comprehensive treatment plan and goals, utilizing IBTM; Departmental\npolicies, procedures and protocols; legislative mandates, etc., as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3.\n&nbsp;Communicate expectations that staff\nutilize skills consistent with IBTM in order to effectively provide treatment\nto youthful offenders, utilizing cognitive behavior treatment, strength-based\napproaches with positive reinforcement, and motivational interviewing, as\nneeded. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.\n&nbsp;Assign cases to Casework Specialists to\nprovide treatment services to youthful offenders, utilizing Departmental policies,\nprocedures and protocols; legislative mandates; and California Code of\nRegulations Title 15 (CCR Title 15), etc., as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.\n&nbsp;Adhere to casework policies of the\nDepartment to produce direct clinical services\/programs, utilizing welfare and\ninstitution codes, undergraduate and graduate\nstudent interns to produce a qualified professional workforce, utilizing\nuniversity\/program expectations, training resources, and clinical supervision,\netc. under the direction of the university internship agreement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10.\n&nbsp;Participate in staff conferences to\nfacilitate meditation amongst staff and address\/resolve conflicts, utilizing\nprogressive discipline, Employee Assistance Program (EAP)\/Peer Support Program\n(PSP), Departmental standards and policies, etc., as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>11.\n&nbsp;Assist in the development of effective\ncase planning and management to ensure compliance, utilizing schedules, IBTM,\ntraining, and auditing tools, etc., as required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>12.\n&nbsp;Work with departmental administrators\nfor the purpose of improving policies and procedures as they relate to\nspecialized programs and casework management, utilizing IBTM committees, work\ngroups, subject matter experts, etc., as directed by Departmental\nAdministrators. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>13.\n&nbsp;Ensure the timely appearances, accurate\nreports, appropriate recommendation and compliance with the Ward with Disability\nProgram prior to the presentation of cases (e.g., annual review, Discharge\nConsideration Hearing [DCH], transfer summary, Initial Case Review [ICR], etc.)\nto Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee (JJAC) and Board of Juvenile Hearings\n(BJH), to adhere to Departmental policies and procedures, as required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>14.\n&nbsp;Coordinate and assess the screening of\nyouthful offenders into special programs to ensure comprehensive treatment and\nappropriate placement or delivery of services, utilizing mental health\nreferrals and staffing, appropriate screening instruments and tools,\nDepartmental policy and procedure, etc., under general direction of management.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>15.\n&nbsp;Maintain cooperative working relations\nwith other multi-disciplinary staff to collaborate and deliver appropriate\nservices for the youthful offenders to implement effective treatment plans,\nutilizing case notes, effective use of Ward Information contraband, such as weapons or illegal drugs to ensure a safe\nand secure environment, utilizing the guidelines provided by I &amp; C section\n1800 and 7000, under general direction of management.
