Health and\/or Behavioral Health Services program to provide quality mental health and\/or targeted case management services for inmates and\/or parolees utilizing California Code of Regulations Title 15 [CCR Title 15], Departmental Operations Manual [DOM], Diagnostic and Statistical Manual [DSM], etc. under the direction of the Chief Psychologist, Chief Psychiatrist or Chief Program Administrator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2.\u00a0 Organizes the social work duties and assignments of the associated Mental Health and\/or Behavioral Health Services program to provide quality mental health and\/or targeted case management services for inmates and\/or parolees utilizing California Code of Regulations Title 15 [CCR Title 15], Departmental Operations Manual [DOM], Diagnostic and Statistical Manual [DSM], etc. under the direction of the Chief Psychologist, Chief Psychiatrist or Chief Program Administrator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3.\u00a0 Directs Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker I (SPSWI) oversight of the associated Mental Health and\/or Behavioral Health Services program to provide quality mental health and\/or targeted case management services for inmates and\/or parolees into the community utilizing CCR Title 15, DOM, DSM, etc. under the direction of the Chief Psychologist, Chief Psychiatrist or Chief Program Administrator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4.\u00a0 Maintains program standards and monitoring criteria to ensure incorporation of evidence based principles and promising practices utilizing Departmental Vision\/Mission\/Value\/Goals Statements, departmental policies\/procedure, etc. on an ongoing basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5.\u00a0 Works with departmental administrators to improve policies and procedures relating to inmate and\/or parolee mental health and case management services utilizing committees, work groups, subject matter experts, etc. as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">6.\u00a0 Coordinates field staff response to inquiries from Headquarters to provide accurate information through the appropriate chain of command utilizing meetings, e-mail, and reports, etc. as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">7.\u00a0 Provides direct\/indirect supervision to social worker staff to ensure compliance with program policies utilizing CCR Title, DOM, Departmental policies, etc. on an ongoing basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">8.\u00a0 Directs SPSWI to ensure Social Worker completion of assigned duties utilizing Departmental policies and procedures on an on-going basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">9.\u00a0 Conducts meetings with SPSWI staff to ensure standardized implementation of Departmental policies utilizing facilitation skills, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, etc. on an ongoing basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">10.\u00a0 Assigns areas of responsibility to SPSWI staff for the oversight of Social Workers providing quality mental health and\/or targeted case management services for inmates and\/or parolees utilizing population data, staffing, and facility location, etc. on an ongoing basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">11.\u00a0 Provides clinical guidance case consultation, differential diagnosis and ensure training for staff to improve quality of care and treatment of inmate and\/or parolees utilizing DSM, in-service training, quality review, etc. on an ongoing basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">12.\u00a0 Oversees the development and improvement of staff performance and provide training and corrective action utilizing On the Job Training (OTJ), Supervisory Handbook, Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), etc. on an ongoing basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">13.\u00a0 Directs appropriate clinical supervision of license-eligible social workers to ensure they meet all the training hours and the professional standards required for licensure utilizing Board of Behavioral Science requirements, SPSWI oversight, Departmental policy and procedure, etc. as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">14.\u00a0 Directs the collection of data related to associated Mental Health and\/or Behavioral Health Services for authorized research projects utilizing databases, Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel), and staff etc. as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">15.\u00a0 Participates as a representative for the Department in conferences, forums and community meetings to produce community awareness, understanding of social work practices, and gain stakeholder support for the inmate and\/or parole mission utilizing communication\/interpersonal skills, knowledge of policies and procedures, etc. as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">16.\u00a0 Provides information on the social work program to other departmental personnel, other agencies, and the public utilizing effective
