<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>1. &nbsp;Assists the classroom teacher in program and\ncurriculum presentation to students, conducting lessons, assessments (e.g., end\nof the chapter progress and English Learner assessments, etc.), student test\ncorrection, computer assisted instruction, and other classroom activities to\nincrease student learning as outlined by the assigned teacher or supervisor on\nan ongoing basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. &nbsp;Tutors students individually and in groups in\nacademic and vocational [Career Technical Education (CTE)] subject areas to\nmeet their educational goals utilizing the adopted curriculum as outlined by\nthe assigned teacher or supervisor on an ongoing basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. &nbsp;Compiles required documents and progress\nreports for the classroom teacher or supervisor to provide current data\ninstrumental in the development of instructional planning utilizing standard\noffice equipment (e.g., computer, printer, scanner, etc.) on a quarterly basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. &nbsp;Maintains routine student records (e.g.,\nportfolios, classroom work, classroom file, etc.) to ensure compliance with\nrelevant departmental policies and education codes utilizing standard office\nequipment as outlined by the assigned classroom teacher or supervisor on a\nweekly basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. &nbsp;Grades objective student examinations (i.e.,\nmultiple choice, true\/false, fill-in-the-blank) to support student progress and\nmastery of course curriculum and standards utilizing office\/classroom equipment\n(e.g., calculator, computer, printer, etc.) under the guidance of the assigned\nclassroom teacher or supervisor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. &nbsp;Operates audio-visual equipment (e.g.,\ntelevision\/monitor, computer, interactive white board, etc.) to enhance\ninstruction and\/or training of students, in accordance with safety\nrequirements, departmental policies and regulations under the guidance of the\nassigned classroom teacher or supervisor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7. &nbsp;Confers with teachers and other staff\nconcerning program materials necessary to meet students\u2019 needs utilizing\ntraining, individualized student data, effective communication skills,\nprofessional knowledge, etc., on an ongoing basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8. &nbsp;Prepares graphic and written teaching\nmaterials for teachers to support the adopted curriculum and promote student\nlearning utilizing computer, appropriate software, printers, etc. in accordance\nwith the Departmental Operational Manual (DOM). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9. &nbsp;Files and stores materials (e.g., curriculum,\nstudent work, student reports, etc.) as directed by the assigned teacher or\nsupervisor to ensure safety, security, and confidentiality utilizing secured\nresources (e.g. shared digital file, locking cabinet, archive files etc. ) in\naccordance with departmental policies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10. &nbsp;Assists the classroom teacher in classroom\nmanagement in order to maintain a safe and secure learning environment\nutilizing written rules, oral direction, and proximity, etc. as required by\ndepartmental policies and procedures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>11. &nbsp;Maintains order and supervises the conduct of\nstudents to ensure a safe and secure learning environment utilizing effective\ncommunication, written rules, oral direction, and proximity, etc. as required\nby departmental policies and procedures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>12. &nbsp;Protects and maintains the safety of persons\n(e.g., staff, inmates\/youthful offenders, the public, etc.) and property to\nensure a safe and secure learning environment utilizing effective\ncommunication, vigilance, and written rules as required by departmental\npolicies and procedures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>13. &nbsp;Inspects premises (i.e. work area) for\ncontraband (e.g. weapons, illegal drugs, electronic devices, etc.) to ensure a\nsafe and secure environment utilizing accountability tools (e.g., inspection\nlogs, tool and equipment inventory, etc.) per departmental policy and\nprocedures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>14. &nbsp;Controls all classroom materials and equipment\nwhich may be used as potential weapons to ensure the safety and security of all\npersons utilizing visual observation, organizational skills, inventory\nchecklists\/logs, etc. on a daily basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>15.<strong> &nbsp;Participates as a team member\nin education program evaluation for the purpose of ensuring the effectiveness\nof school programs toward accreditation utilizing Professional Learning\nCommunities (PLC), trainings, and workshops, etc. on a continuous basis. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>16.<strong> &nbsp;Participates in educational\nactivities (e.g., graduation ceremonies, committees, literacy programs, etc.)\ndesigned for students to support and enhance existing education programs\nutilizing subject matter expertise, communication skills, interpersonal skills,\netc., as needed. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>17.<strong> &nbsp;Assists with maintaining the\nsecurity of the institution (e.g., alarms, locks, padlocks, keys, etc.) while\nin the classroom and on institutional grounds to prevent escapes, injury to\nstudents, and the destruction of property utilizing personal vigilance, due\ndiligence, laws, rules\/regulations on a daily basis. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>18.<strong> &nbsp;Participates as a member of\nmulti-disciplinary team(s) [e.g., Individual Education Plan (IEP)\/Individually\nTailored Education Plan (ITEP), Inter-Disciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT), etc.]\nin an effort to fulfill court mandates, specialized treatment requirements,\ninstitutional mission, etc., utilizing subject matter expertise, data analysis,\nobservational skills, collaborative skills, etc., as necessary. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>19.<strong> &nbsp;Supervises inmate\/youthful\noffender clerks, tutors, and aides in their identified duties (e.g.,\ndistributing classroom supplies\/materials, peer mentoring, providing individual\nsupport, etc.) utilizing departmental policies, DOM, California Code of\nRegulations-Title 15 on a continuous basis. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>20.<strong> &nbsp;Attends required training\n(e.g., legal mandates, teaching techniques, etc.) to remain current on\ndevelopments in education utilizing department resources, Internet\/Intranet\nresources, outside agencies and organizations, etc. as directed. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>21.<strong> &nbsp;Attends professional\ndevelopment training (e.g., conferences, seminars, workshops, etc.) to enhance\nknowledge and skills related to assigned duties utilizing departmental and\nexternal resources as needed. modifications, as needed. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>25<strong>. &nbsp;Collaborates with the\nclassroom teacher to provide input on student progress to interdisciplinary\nteams utilizing visual attending class\n(e.g., lockdowns, illnesses, etc.) to provide a continuum in the education\nprocess utilizing curriculum resources, student records, communication skills\nas required by state and federal mandates, departmental policies. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>29<strong>. &nbsp;Communicate effectively with\nstudents to promote positive behavior utilizing cultural awareness,
