development\nand supervision of subordinates representing different professional disciplines\n(e.g., Parole Agent, Case Work Specialist, Senior Youth Correctional Counselor,\nYouth Correctional Counselor, etc.) in order to maintain job performance,\nprofessional based competencies and promote career development utilizing\nprinciples of staff supervision and mandated departmental training, as\nrequired. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">20.\n&nbsp;Ensure timely and accurate preparation\nof required staff\/institutional reports (e.g., performance, operational,\ncasework, health and safety, personnel, letters, memo, internal\/external\naudits, Crisis Intervention Plans [CIP], Program Change Protocol [PCP], etc.)\nand maintain records in order to effectively manage, fulfill and demonstrate\ncompliance with departmental and institutional mandates utilizing established\nreporting tools, methods and formats, documentation, etc., as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p the safe and secure operations of living units\nincluding disturbance control and account for the daily functions of the\ninterdisciplinary treatment teams utilizing departmental and institutional\nmandates and policies as required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">25.\n&nbsp;Manage the youthful offender population\nincluding behavioral issues, mental health and\/or Wards with Disabilities\nProgram (WDP), temporary housing, gang issues, Temporary Intervention Program\n(TIP), and Behavioral Treatment Program (BTP) referrals, etc., in order to\nensure safe and secure operations of the institution utilizing CA-Youth\nAssessment Screening Instrument (CA-YASI), daily assessments, operations\nreports, gang information coordinators, DDMS, staff meetings, etc. as required.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">26.\n&nbsp;Monitor the youthful offender population\nincluding behavioral issues, mental health and\/or WDP, temporary housing, gang\nissues, TIP, and BTP referrals etc., in order to ensure safe and secure\noperations of the institution, utilizing CA-YASI, daily assessments, operations\nreports, gang information coordinators, DDMS, staff meetings, etc., as\nrequired. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">27.\n&nbsp;Review cases for the Juvenile Parole\nBoard and\/or Juvenile Justice Administrative Committee for annual reviews,\nexcursion requests, and referrals to discharge utilizing board\/case reports,\nParole Board Determination (PBD) reestablishment, youthful offender files,\netc., as required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">28.\n&nbsp;Oversee cases presented to the Juvenile\nParole Board and\/or Juvenile Justice Administrative Committee for annual\nreviews, excursion requests, and referrals to discharge utilizing board\/case\nreports, PBD reestablishment, youthful offender files, etc., as required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">29.\n&nbsp;Ensure the living unit interdisciplinary\ntreatment team conducts a case conference with all youthful offenders at\nmandated intervals in order to monitor and assess youthful offender progress\ntoward treatment goals utilizing case conference documents, case plan, CA-YASI,\nobservable behavior and by adhering to established departmental policies and\nmandates, as required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">30.\n&nbsp;Monitor DDMS for youthful offenders in\nan impartial manner, which may include investigations, finding of facts,\ndispositions and appeals in order to ensure due process and accountability\nregarding disciplinary matters for youthful offenders utilizing departmental\npolicies and mandates, as directed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">31.\n&nbsp;Report on DDMS for youthful offenders in\nan impartial manner, which may include investigations, finding of facts,\ndispositions and appeals in order to ensure due process and accountability\nregarding disciplinary matters for youthful offenders utilizing departmental\npolicies and mandates, as directed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">32.\n&nbsp;Complete preliminary inquiries regarding\ncomplaints from youthful offenders, parents, staff, outside agencies, etc., of\nalleged staff misconduct utilizing interviews, youthful offender letters,\ngrievances, institutional reports, etc., as directed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">33.\n&nbsp;Work in cooperation with the site\ngrievance coordinator regarding youthful offender grievance and appeal procedures\nfor the institution in order to ensure compliance and due process with all\npolicies and procedures regarding grievance matters for youthful offenders\nutilizing departmental policies and mandates, as required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">34.\n&nbsp;Review reports on youthful offender grievance\nand appeal procedures in order to ensure compliance and due process with all\npolicies and procedures regarding grievance matters for youthful offenders\nutilizing departmental policies and mandates, as directed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">35.\n&nbsp;Train staff on youthful offender\ngrievance and appeal procedures in order to ensure compliance and due process\nwith all policies and daily operations (e.g.,\nfeeding, laundry, canteen, ward benefit funds, medical services, visiting,\netc.) of the camp program in order to ensure compliance with departmental\nmandates and policies utilizing reference manuals (e.g., I&amp;C Manual, Camp\nManual, Welfare &amp; Institutions Code, Remedial Plans, etc.), as required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">38.\n&nbsp;Monitor
