needed <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>14.\n&nbsp;Ensures the inspection of safety\nequipment as required by codes and manuals to ensure consistent compliance with\ncodes of safe practice on a daily basis <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>15.\n&nbsp;Ensures the inspection of tools and\nequipment for safe working condition as required by codes and manuals to ensure\nconsistent compliance with codes of safe practice on a daily basis <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>16.\n&nbsp;Ensures the completion of daily and\nquarterly tool inventories per Departmental Operational Manual (DOM) to ensure\nsafety and security of the Institution <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>17.\n&nbsp;Conducts safety training to\ntradespersons and inmates in compliance with Senate Bill 198 (Right to Know),\nInjury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) to ensure safety to inmates and staff\non a weekly basis <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>18.\n&nbsp;Ensures staff participating in\nIn-Service Training (IST) to meet mandatory annual training requirements\nutilizing IST Bulletins, IIPP, IST classes on a daily basis <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>19.\n&nbsp;Supervises craftspersons and inmates on\nspecial assigned projects in order to maintain or improve the Physical Plant\nper drawings and specifications as needed <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>20.\n&nbsp;Prepares cost estimates of labor and\nmaterials utilizing price quotes, Saylor or R.S. Means cost estimate manual and\nCalifornia Construction Cost Index to accurately estimate project cost as\nneeded <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>21.\n&nbsp;Prepares shop drawings for projects in\naccordance with applicable codes Title 8, Title 24, Uniform Building Codes and\ndrawing aides as needed <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>22.\n&nbsp;Requisitions supplies, materials, tools,\nand equipment utilizing price quotes, intraoffice requisitions, competitive bid\npurchase orders, direct pay, supply contracts and equipment contracts, etc., to\nsupport operational functions as needed <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>23.\n&nbsp;Schedules material flow to maintain\norderly job progress and ensure that projects are carried out according to\nplans, specifications and timeframes as required by project <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>24.\n&nbsp;Schedules necessary <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>29.&nbsp; Maintains order and oversees the conduct of\npersons committed to the Departments of Corrections and Rehabilitation\nmaintaining the safety and security of the institution staff, inmates and\npublic utilizing CCR Title 15 and DOM on a daily basis <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>30.\n&nbsp;Prevents escapes and injury by these\npersons to themselves or others or damage to property by maintaining the safety\nand security of the institution staff, inmates and public utilizing inmate\ncounts, staff accountability procedures, personal equipment checks, CCR Title\n15 and
