class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>Task Statements:<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>1.\nTrain students in career technical education skills in order to assist them to\nbe productive and contributing members of society utilizing the approved\ncurriculum, various teaching methodologies, etc. as mandated per the direction\nof the Office of Correctional Education (OCE) and California Education\nAuthority (CEA) as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.\nParticipate as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team (e.g., custody,\nacademic, vocational, etc.) to fulfill court mandates and specialized treatment\nrequirements utilizing subject matter expertise, observational and\/or\ncollaborative skills, etc. as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3.\nCollaborates with outside agencies to provide support materials and resources,\nutilizing communication, interpersonal skills, knowledge and organizational\nskills, per approved departmental policy, mandated laws and curriculum\nframeworks on an ongoing basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.\nReport the outcome of classroom activities to evaluate and improve methods and\ntechniques of providing services to students utilizing data, subject matter\nexpertise, observational and\/or collaborative skills, etc. as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.\nSupervise the conduct of students while in the classroom or shop within a state\ncorrectional adult school or juvenile correctional facility high school to\nassume general custody responsibility in time of emergency utilizing\ncommunication and classroom management skills, etc. on an on-going basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6.\nImplement competency-based instruction\/training and direct supervision to meet\nor exceed the occupational trade standards by utilizing skill and behavior\ndevelopment on an ongoing basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7.\nProvide instruction, training, and supervision to students to educate in the\nclassroom and\/or shop of an educational program within a state correctional\nadult school or juvenile correctional facility high school utilizing visual\naids and vocational equipment on an ongoing basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8.\nDevelop appropriate lesson plans for students with curriculum to meet the needs\nof the students in order to fulfill educational mandates per the direction of\nOCE\/CEA on an ongoing basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9.\nCommunicate in a professional and effective manner with others (e.g., faculty,\nstaff, students) to establish and maintain effective working relationships in\nall situations utilizing tact and interpersonal communication skills, on an\nongoing basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10.\nImplement the identified reasonable accommodations for students according to\ntheir referrals and assessments in order to support the students\u2019 with special\nneeds utilizing various assessments, instructional methods and\nstrategies\/techniques in accordance with Federal and State laws, on an ongoing\nbasis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>11.\nCounsel students to provide feedback regarding their participation in an\ninstructional program by setting goals and measuring progress on an ongoing\nbasis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>12.\nEvaluate new training materials and equipment via community contacts or\ntraining seminars to keep up with current standards\/trends in the industry on\nan ongoing basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>13.\nDifferentiate instruction to meet the needs of students\u2019 various skill levels\nby assessing the individual student\u2019s knowledge and experience (e.g. skills\ntests, hands-on test, written test) on an ongoing basis. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>14.\nParticipate in the administration and security of standardized testing in order\nto ensure assessment results are valid utilizing the required testing protocols\nand training materials to\naid in the education and rehabilitation process of students utilizing (e.g.,\nevidence based teaching methodologies, California Department of Education\nCurriculum Standards, and student assessment results\/scores) as necessary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>17.\nGather information and documentation needed in order to purchase equipment,\ninstructional materials and supplies, to meet the needs of students and\nfaculty\/staff, utilizing the procurement process as required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>18.\nMonitor all classroom and or shop supplies, materials and equipment to ensure\nagainst loss, misuse, and the potential use as a weapon utilizing observation,\norganizational and classroom management skills, etc. on a daily basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>19.\nAttend on and offsite professional development and staff meetings to remain\ncurrent in required and mandatory training utilizing institutional\/ internet\nresources, and communication skills, etc. as needed. development on assessments\/identification\ninstructional methods and strategies\/techniques to support students with\nspecial needs in compliance with State and Federal laws on an on-going basis. staff in the repair shop to maintain an\neffective learning environment that is in compliance with State and Federal\nlaws, court mandates and regulations on an on-going basis.
