CCJBH‑CSG Housing Report Launch Event – August 18, 2021

The Council on Criminal Justice and Behavioral Health (CCJBH) and the Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center housing report launch event.

PowerPoint Presentation

With over $12 billion in investments included in the Governor’s revised budget, we are currently at a historic moment for new housing investments in California. This exciting and informative event focused on how we can work together to leverage this moment to create more housing options for people with behavioral health needs leaving jails and prisons in California.

CCJBH and the CSG Justice Center hosted a virtual event on August 18th from 2:00-3:30 PST to formally launch the report, Reducing Homelessness for People with Behavioral Health Needs Leaving Jails and Prisons.

Reducing Homelessness for People with Behavioral Health Needs Leaving Jails and Prisons

From this presentation you will learn about our key findings and recommendations to increase housing opportunities for this vulnerable population, listen to personal stories about the life-changing value of housing to their community transition/reentry, and hear from key state leaders and local partners about why we must prioritize and dedicate housing for this population with new housing investments.

This event will set the stage for future collaborative efforts around this important issue.
