The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) earlier this month submitted the final version of the 2022 DHCS CQS report to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The CQS report incorporates stakeholder feedback received during the 30-day public comment and tribal review process that ended on January 27. DHCS developed the CQS report in response to the federal Medicaid Managed Care Final Rule, which requires states to develop a comprehensive managed care quality strategy report.
The CQS report outlines DHCS’ process for developing and maintaining a broader quality strategy to assess the quality of care that all beneficiaries receive, regardless of delivery system, and defines measurable goals and tracks improvement while adhering to the regulatory federal managed care requirements.
