The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) is preparing to announce $131 million in HOME-American Rescue Plan (ARP) funding to provide housing, rental assistance, supportive services, and non-congregate shelters to individuals or households who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, and other vulnerable populations.
HCD has invited stakeholders to share their thoughts by participating in a survey about homelessness needs in your community and the HOME-ARP eligible projects being planned. The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete and will be available until March 28, 2022.
Three virtual focus groups will be held to identify unmet needs and gaps in housing or service delivery systems; determine the HOME-ARP eligible activities HCD should undertake; and get input on the HOME-ARP program design and implementation. Each of the three focus groups will target unique stakeholder groups, but are open to all interested participants:
- Service providers: Tuesday, March 15, 2022, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. Register here.
- Housing providers, civil rights organizations, and disability rights organizations: Wednesday, March 16, 2022, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. Register here.
- Housing developers, local public entities, and tribal entities: Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Register here.
