OJJDP Toolkit: “Reentry Starts Here: A Guide for Youth in Long‑Term Juvenile Corrections or Treatment Programs”

The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) developed the Reentry Starts Here Toolkit as a result of two programs funded by the Second Chance Act to support youth reentering into their communities following residential placement and address the needs of incarcerated parents and their minor children. The toolkit features practical tips, simple explanations, and customizable content to prepare youth and adults for a successful reentry. The toolkit is organized into two sections 1) Planning for Reentry and 2) Returning to Your Community, as well self-assessment for youth to determine if they are ready for reentry.
