Federal Grant Opportunity: Bureau of Justice Assistance Pay for Success Initiative

When: May 4, 2022, from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM PDT

Description: The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) is hosting a webinar for grant applicants to discuss this valuable opportunity.  It will provide an overview of the program and goals and will offer assistance with the application process. In this webinar, BJA representatives will also provide an overview of this year’s grants, discuss eligibility and application materials, and lead a question-and-answer session. In this webinar, representatives from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs, BJA, and The Council of State Governments Justice Center will review the BJA FY21 Pay for Success Initiative Solicitation application process. This grant program will provide an anticipated six awards in the amount of $1,000,000 each to county governments, federally recognized tribal governments, public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities, state governments, and more, for a 54-month project. The program will support performance-based and outcomes-based programming that ties payment for services to reaching agreed-upon goals. Under this initiative, services that may be purchased include permanent supportive housing, as well as other types of reentry services that are tailored to individuals leaving incarceration, particularly those with substance use disorders.
