Cal ICH Awards Family Homelessness Challenge Grants

Ten California communities have been awarded a total $17 million through the Family Homelessness Challenge (FHC) grant program, with plans to assist over 1,800 families currently experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The awarded communities will work to promote rapid innovation, expand promising practices, and accelerate efforts that coordinate across funding streams and systems to rapidly rehouse families and increase the delivery of permanent housing solutions. Targeted populations to be served by grant funds include Latinx families, pregnant women and families with infants, families fleeing domestic violence, and families currently sleeping in their vehicles.
