Description: The National Center for Homeless Education hosted an interactive webinar focused on key concepts related to the education of unaccompanied youth experiencing homelessness included in the McKinney-Vento Act. Presenters reviewed the definitions of “unaccompanied” and “homeless”; K-12 educational rights and supports for unaccompanied homeless students; and supports for unaccompanied homeless youth transitioning to higher education. Attendees had the opportunity to interact with presenters, work through scenarios and participate in Q&A.
