The Department continues to evaluate the current operations to reduce staff and population exposure to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) by minimizing population movement throughout the state. On January 6, 2022, the memorandum titled COVID-19 Mandatory 15-Day Modified Program provided direction to institutions regarding a statewide modified program that will be in effect January 9, 2022 through January 23, 2022.
Due to the continued rise in COVID-19 cases throughout California and within our prisons, there is a need to extend the above modified program through Sunday, February 6, 2022.
Institutions are expected to share this information with their staff and the Inmate Advisory Councils. Thank you for your continued efforts in managing this COVID-19 pandemic.
