Division of Adult Parole Operations Capitol District Agents Antonio Torres, Michael McCowan, Demario Johnson, and Bianca Ramos assisted local law enforcement agencies such as Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office and Cal Expo Police Department to provide additional security at the Hmong New Year event that took place at Cal Expo grounds over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

According to the agents, the Hmong community members were extremely appreciative of their presence at the event. Agents said they enjoyed interacting and talking with the community.

Working the event also gave agents an opportunity to learn about Hmong culture and traditions.
