{"id":10577,"date":"2020-03-31T16:07:15","date_gmt":"2020-03-31T23:07:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cdcr.test\/dom\/chapter-5-adult-custody-and-security-operations\/article-43-inmate-property\/54030-9-personal-property-package-vendor-approval\/"},"modified":"2026-05-21T18:30:52","modified_gmt":"2026-05-21T18:30:52","slug":"54030-9-personal-property-package-vendor-approval","status":"publish","type":"dom","link":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/dom\/chapter-5-adult-custody-and-security-operations\/article-43-inmate-property\/54030-9-personal-property-package-vendor-approval\/","title":{"rendered":"54030.8 Personal Property Package Vendor Approval"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Vendors for personal property packages, except those vendors approved locally for special religious foods as provided for in DOM Subsection 54030.6.1, must obtain department approval prior to providing products to incarcerated persons.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Deputy Director, DAI, has the authority to establish vendor approval guidelines for personal property packages and to add or remove vendors from the Approved Incarcerated person Package Vendors list for vendor non-compliance concerns.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Vendors shall submit a completed vendor application package to the Deputy Director, DAI. Requests for approval shall include all additional materials identified in DOM Subsection 54030.8.1 and catalogs of items provided with prices. If approved as a vendor, the vendor name and contact information will be provided to the institutions.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>It is the intent of the department to ensure Incarcerated Person Package Program catalog items are priced competitively with common retailers in major markets.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The CDCR reserves the right to withdraw any vendor approval subject to 30 calendar day\u2019s written notice to the vendor. However, any agreement can be immediately terminated for cause. The term \u201cfor cause\u201d shall mean that the vendor fails to meet the terms, conditions, or responsibilities of an agreement.
