{"id":11101,"date":"2020-03-31T16:07:46","date_gmt":"2020-03-31T23:07:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cdcr.test\/dom\/chapter-6-adult-classification\/article-7-transfers-dmh\/62030-22-discharge-of-mentally-ill-inmates\/"},"modified":"2020-03-31T16:07:46","modified_gmt":"2020-03-31T23:07:46","slug":"62030-22-discharge-of-mentally-ill-inmates","status":"publish","type":"dom","link":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/dom\/chapter-6-adult-classification\/article-7-transfers-dmh\/62030-22-discharge-of-mentally-ill-inmates\/","title":{"rendered":"62030.22 Discharge of Mentally Ill Inmates"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Before discharging any inmate who, because of mental illness, is deemed a danger to themselves or others, the Warden shall act to place the inmate in a facility designated by a county (and approved by DMH for 72-hour treatment and evaluation) or in a 14-day intensive treatment facility pursuant to the provisions of PC 2974.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Warden of the releasing institution shall:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Document the psychiatric justification for the decision that the inmate is dangerous to themselves or others or gravely disabled and should not be released to the community.
