{"id":11262,"date":"2020-03-31T16:07:51","date_gmt":"2020-03-31T23:07:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cdcr.test\/dom\/chapter-6-adult-classification\/article-11-temporary-removals\/62070-7-2-review-and-processing-responsibilities\/"},"modified":"2020-03-31T16:07:51","modified_gmt":"2020-03-31T23:07:51","slug":"62070-7-2-review-and-processing-responsibilities","status":"publish","type":"dom","link":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/dom\/chapter-6-adult-classification\/article-11-temporary-removals\/62070-7-2-review-and-processing-responsibilities\/","title":{"rendered":"62070.7.2 Review and Processing Responsibilities"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The initial request by an inmate for a college leave shall be by the institution supervisor of education who shall perform the following functions:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Supervisor of Education<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Consult with the inmate and develop a program objective and attendance plan.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Contact college staff and mutually review the program objectives, attendance plan, and the inmate&#8217;s educational qualifications to pursue the program outlined.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Obtain written approval from college officials to accept the inmate for enrollment.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Caseworker<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The caseworker shall thoroughly review the submitted plan and take the following actions:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Review and verify the request for the leave utilizing the basic criteria as outlined in DOM 62070.5.1.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Process the request as outlined in DOM 62070.5.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Prepare a memorandum for the Warden, to the Director, citing the request. This document shall outline the inmate&#8217;s commitment offense, criminal history, institution adjustment, custody classification, parole\/discharge date, and educational achievements.
